Sports Performance
Almost all athletes have weaknesses. Whether it be lack of strength, lack of power, muscular imbalances, or even lack of confidence in their athletic abilities, weaknesses can be the difference between success and failure. No matter the sport – football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, soccer, golf, hockey, track and field, lacrosse, swimming, etc. – athletes NEED the necessary athletic ability to excel in their sport. At Force Gym, the Sports Performance Program will help athletes of all ages be the BEST athletes they can be. Our mission is simple: our athletes will always be prepared.
In our programming, athletes have two options: (1) individualized 1-on-1 coaching or (2) small group sport-specific training. Whether you are working 1-on-1 with a coach, or have a small group preparing for a specific sport, our unique programming includes instruction in: movement training, linear and lateral speed, foot speed and agility, explosive power development, proper strength training, energy system conditioning, and injury risk reduction and rehabilitation.
-
Strength
Strength separates good athletes from GREAT athletes. Each sport requires certain levels of strength to succeed. Strength is the key pillar in our sports performance programming. We focus on overall lower body strength, upper body strength, sport-specific strength, and stability to give our athletes a well-balanced strength program.
-
Explosive Power
In the sports world, explosive Power is defined as the ability to produce near-maximal force in a short amount of time. Improving these qualities equates to a more powerful athlete, which increases all aspects of performance. In our programming, we focus on Olympic lifting, plyometrics, med ball training, and overall rate of force development in increase power output.
-
Speed
Speed is VITAL for any sport. At Force, “speed” can also have multiple meanings - acceleration speed, top-end speed, or even lateral, change-of-direction speed. Different sports will require different elements of “speed” to be successful. Depending on the sport, we focus on linear speed, lateral speed, acceleration, deceleration, change of direction, sprint mechanics, and footwork.
-
Conditioning
Proper conditioning is required for athletes to sustain their peak performance for the duration of a game, match, and season. Force Sports Performance focuses on sport-specific conditioning. Different sports require different energy systems, and different energy systems must be trained in specific ways.
-
Injury Prevention
An athlete’s best ability is availability. Force Sports Performance programming focuses on preparing an athlete for their season by applying controlled, progressive stress throughout the training sessions. Athletes will build muscular, tendinous, and ligamentous resiliency to adequately prepare them for their respective sport.

Nutrition Education
Nutrition is often the missing ingredient to peak peak performance. Force performance coaches to implement nutrition strategies for maximizing performance during and outside of competition.
1-on-1 Sports Performance Coaching
Our 1-on-1 performance coaching provides each athlete with a personalized program specific to their sport. Each athlete will be individually assessed based on his or her sport and position within their sport. The assessment will help our coaches build an “athlete profile” which will determine the specific needs and focus for the athletes programming. Sports performance training dramatically varies between the offseason, pre-season, or in-season. Thus, serious athletes NEED a program designed for their specific needs and one that follows proper progression based on sound scientific principles.
Sport-specific Small Group Training
In a sport-specific small group, athletes will be working with others that have the same or similar goals. By working in a small group, athletes will train in a competitive environment for their specific sport, and receive semi-personalized coaching from the coach. Our sport-specific small group training is designed for elementary, junior high, high school, or college athletes looking to enhance their strength, power, speed, acceleration, and conditioning. Each athlete within the group will be closely monitored. More challenging exercises will be administered once basic techniques have been mastered.
